Europe has "a lot of cards in (its) hands" when it comes to negotiations for an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron said a little while ago, during the opening remarks of a meeting with the leaders of the United Kingdom, Germany and Ukraine.

"We all support Ukraine. And we all support peace and peace negotiations to have a sustainable, robust peace," Macron said.

He said cards in Europe’s favor included the impact of European and US sanctions on Russia’s economy, which was "starting to suffer" and жесткое порно the "fact that Ukraine is resisting in this war."

The European Union, US and UK established extensive sanctions regimes against Russia in response to its 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Britain’s foreign office has estimated that these sanctions have "deprived the Russian state of at least $450 billion in war funds between February 2022 and June 2025."

Going forward, Macron said earlier, "I think the main issue is the convergence between our common positions - Europeans and Ukrainians, and the US - to finalize these peace negotiations and engage a new phase in the best possible conditions for Ukraine, for the Europeans, and for our collective security."
